Recommended by Member's Traders List

At the end of April 2007 this list contained details of 96 local traders 45 of whom offered discounts ranging from 5% to 15% to members producing a valid Neighbourhood Watch Membership card. The services offered range alphabetically from Aerials to Windows.

The list is updated annually (although interim amendments are contained in each Newsletter) and issued together with a membership card on payment of the Annual Subscription.

The local traders included in this list have been recommended by members of the Neighbourhood Watch as being bona-fide and reliable.

It is provided for your assistance only and Verwood & Three Legged Cross Neighbourhood Watch cannot be held responsible for any work carried out by these traders that may fall below the standard that you expect. In all cases where you are intending to have work carried out, you should contact at least three companies to obtain written specifications and quotations for the job.  

You are advised against entering into contracts with itinerant traders calling on you and offering to do the work cheaply. There are many other good traders in the local areas who are not listed and who may have given you good service in the past, in which case you would be advised to carry on using them.

We reserve the right to remove a traders details without explanation.

ALWAYS OBTAIN MORE THAN ONE ESTIMATE AND CHECK THE SMALL PRINT OF ANY CONTRACT CAREFULLY BEFORE SIGNING

This list is one of the privileges that makes joining the Neighbourhood Watch such good value, you will see others by visiting the ‘Members Offers’ page and by taking advantage of the deduction from House Insurance Charges that most insurance companies allow for members of an active Neighbourhood Watch Scheme.
